Individual Therapy Sessions

Individual therapy sessions target specific goals, skill development, and progress, whether it’s for anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, or life changes. Sessions are organized, collaborative, and realistic in terms of what can be accomplished in a therapy session, with strategies to implement between sessions.

Therapy / Mental Health Services Consultation

Not sure where to start, or whether therapy is the right next step? We offer therapy and mental health services consultations for a brief, dedicated time to discuss your concerns, explore treatment options, and get advice on what to do next.

These sessions are particularly useful if you’re dealing with a new diagnosis, thinking about therapy for your child or adolescent, or trying to decide between different levels or types of care.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a supportive and structured environment to work on skills with others who are dealing with similar issues. Groups are led by licensed psychologists and are based on evidence-supported approaches.

Many clients find that hearing others’ experiences, learning from others, and working on skills in real time with others helps build confidence and reduces feelings of isolation, in addition to individual therapy.

How We Work

In our first sessions, we explore your presenting concerns and patterns. Together, we agree on 2–3 clear goals that matter in daily life  (sleeping through the night, riding the subway, fewer skin picking episodes, or reduced worry and stress.

Each visit follows a simple arc: brief check-in, live practice of skills or exposures, and, planning your next small step. We keep assignments manageable so change is realistic, not overwhelming.

What sessions often include (may differ depending on your needs):

  • Sharing about your life so we can understand your patterns and what might be getting in your way
  • Learning a new coping skill
  • Creating a plan to gradually face fears and build tolerance for
  • Learning how to track your patterns so you can see progress – and what gets in the way of progress – for yourself.

Care can be in-person on the Upper West Side or via HIPAA-secure telehealth in NY, NJ, or CT. We’re collaborative, culturally responsive, and paced with you. You’ll leave sessions knowing exactly what to try next—and why.
