Group Therapy

From time to time we offer virtual parenting groups, including SPACE groups for parents of anxious children. We also run in-person social anxiety group therapy for teens Contact us at Info@GordonTherapyGroup.com to inquire about any current Group Therapy offerings.

CBT Therapy for Adults

Cognitive behavioral therapy (or CBT) can focus on a wide range of issues, including OCD, anxiety, insomnia, stress, interpersonal difficulties, traumatic experiences, work difficulties, or any life circumstance which may not be going quite right.

We help a lot of different people, with diverse problems, using collaborative, evidence based treatment.   Sessions are typically once a week, begin with setting an agenda for our time together, and conclude with assigning between session homework so you can continue to improve during the week.

Therapy for Kids

We love to help kids! Pediatricians used to tell parents, “don’t worry, they’ll outgrow it.” Now, we know that’s not really true.  Instead, the answer is “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”  A child successfully treated for OCD becomes an adult without OCD.   My team and I love helping children with fears learn to be brave, and teaching parents therapy skills too so they can carry on our work at home.  When you call us, we will schedule a parent consultation for you to tell us everything you can about your child, followed by a separate child session on another day. After we’ve met you and your child, we’ll give you feedback and a basic treatment plan so you always know what we’re doing to help, and why.

Therapy for Teens

The stress of college applications, adjusting to high school, and peer pressure can bring both anxiety and depression.  My team and I work with teens directly to learn coping skills for managing all of the new requirements of growing up.  Just like with younger kids, we still meet with parents first for the parent consultation and give you a treatment plan after we’ve met your teen.
