
Gabriela (Gabi) Khazanov, PhD
Part-time Staff Psychologist: Adults with Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and Depression
Gabriela Khazanov is a licensed psychologist in New York and Pennsylvania, with a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She joins the GTG team part-time, treating adults with PTSD, OCD, social anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and problematic substance use. Dr. Khazanov has been seeing patients for over ten years, and is an expert in cognitive behavioral therapy. Trained by pioneers in the field (e.g., Dr. Robert DeRubeis, Dr. Dianne Chambless), Dr. Khazanov provides cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, exposure and response prevention, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing. In addition to her work with patients, Dr. Khazanov is an Assistant Professor at Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, where she trains graduate students in cognitive behavioral therapy. Prior to her position at the Ferkauf graduate school, she was a Research Scientist and therapist at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center for three years. Her research focuses on improving patient and provider access to, and engagement in, evidence-based therapies for mental health disorders.
