
Danya Schlussel, PsyD
Staff Psychologist, PCIT specialist, and Neuropsych testing provider
Dr. Danya Schlussel is a staff psychologist at Gordon Therapy Group. She earned her joint doctorate degree in Clinical-School Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Gordon Therapy Group. Her research explored the overlap of anxiety and executive functioning deficits in children and adolescents. Dr. Schlussel completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Brandies University, graduating with honors.
Prior to joining GTG, Dr. Schlussel also trained at the Andrus community mental health centers, Montefiore Medical Center, Kurtz Psychology Consulting, and Union City High School. She has received extensive training in treating individuals across the lifespan with a wide variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, OCD, Selective Mutism, and Autism. She also has significant experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents.
Dr. Schlussel in trained and certified in providing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and the adaptation for children with selective mutism, PCIT-SM. Dr. Schlussel enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan. She takes a collaborative, non-judgmental, and evidence based approach to provide interventions that meet her patient’s needs.
