What to Expect
Here’s how the first weeks usually look.
We listen to your concerns, review your child’s history, gather input from their school, and define what a “good week” would like for your child.
Together—with you and, when appropriate, your child—we identify focus areas, determine session frequency, and explore simple ways to track progress.
We review wins and bumps and adjust the plan to incorporate changes into daily routines.
Kids learn and practice skills in session. Parents get coaching and brief home practice to keep momentum between visits.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my child needs therapy?
If worry or behavior is disrupting sleep, school, friendships, or family life, an intake can clarify next steps.
Do you provide meal plans?
We don’t prescribe meal plans. We’ll help you establish healthy eating habits with gentle structure, and we collaborate with a registered dietitian to provide additional support in meeting specific caloric needs.
Will we talk about weight, and how?
We’ll discuss weight respectfully and in context—health, function, and comfort—never as a moral score. The focus is on behaviors and well-being.
Can you coordinate with my doctor or a registered dietitian?
Yes, with your consent. Collaboration is important for accelerating progress and making it more sustainable.
How long does eating disorder therapy usually take?
Many people notice changes within a few weeks. Focused courses typically run 12-16 sessions, tailored to your goals and pace.
Can I combine in-person and telehealth?
Absolutely. Many clients mix formats to stay consistent during busy weeks, travel, or childcare shifts.
