The Community Education
The Center for Anxiety Presents:
The Community Education Series, a free monthly lecture series:
On the topic of:
Skills Training in Affective and in Interpersonal Regulation/Narrative StoryTelling (STAIR/NST)
Presented by Tamar Gordon, Ph.D.**
Wednesday, May 11th, from 12:00-1:00
at our Brooklyn Location: 3692 Bedford Ave, Suite P2.
Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation/ Narrative StoryTelling (STAIR/NST) is an innovative treatment for survivors of multiple traumas.
It combines the best elements of several evidence based therapies in a unique series of interventions to address the needs of this hard-to-treat population.
This workshop will familiarize clinicians with the treatment modules of STAIR/NST. We will also discuss the ways trauma impacts functioning across the life-span, and how to attend to trauma history in the parents of children who are presenting for treatment of non-trauma related problems. It is appropriate for clinicians who are working with a PTSD population as well as those who are just seeking to increase their general knowledge base about trauma.
